Monday Mise en Place: Origin India's Chef Kuldeep Singh Invited to the James Beard House

Big congratulations and best wishes go out to Origin India’s Chef Kuldeep Singh who was invited by the James Beard Foundation to prepare a meal at the legendary James Beard House in New York City on February 20th! Chef Singh will be preparing his signature modern twists on classic Indian favorites such as Potato and Garbanzo Bean–Stuffed Crispy Dumplings with Masala Water and a Masala Banana–Stuffed Potato Barrel with Spicy Ajowan–Potato Dumpling, Mint Sauce, and Banana Chips.  To see the complete menu Chef Singh is offering and more information on the event, click here.

On the heels of his successful, much raved about class he did just a short while ago, Chef Geno Bernardo of Nove Italiano will be offering another Saturday cooking class on February 27th at noon.  This time the professor will cover; Caprese Salad, East Coast Fluke (Milanese Style), Braised Kobe Short Rib with Gorgonzola Polenta and Chocolate Ganache.  The cost is $75, call (702) 942-6856 for reservations.

We’ve already mentioned this in our post highlighting the recent restaurant openings at Crystals, but it certainly bears repeating; Wolfgang Puck is offering Las Vegas locals 25% off their entire check at his new French fine dining restaurant, Brasserie PUCK from now through April 30th!  Brasserie PUCK is at the Crystals mall at CityCenter, currently open for only dinner service Monday-Thursday from 5:00pm-10:00pm and Lunch and Dinner services Friday-Sunday from 11:30am-11pm (closes at 10:00pm on Sunday)
